HNC is adding a Youth Advisory team. We are seeking ages 16-18 to join us. It’s time to have our youth lead.
HNC continues to collect used eye glasses for the Lion’s Club.

Community Spotlight
She is the Executive Director of the Association for Black Economic Power (ABEP), where she led the organization’s efforts to establish Arise Community Credit Union - Minnesota’s first Black-led community credit union. This groundbreaking institution is dedicated to serving individuals who live, work, or worship in Hennepin and Ramsey counties, advancing economic justice and financial empowerment for historically underserved communities.
Debra has guided organizations of all sizes in strengthening governance, advocacy, fundraising, and member engagement. As a nationally recognized Certified Association Executive (CAE), she brings proven expertise in building sustainable organizations, fostering collaborative partnerships, and creating pathways for equitable growth.
For her economic power is more than financial success. She defines it as the ability to transform dreams into reality, uplift communities, and expand opportunities for prosperity. Her vision underscores that true economic power lies not only in wealth accumulation, but in the intentional use of resources to build a brighter, more inclusive future for all.
