HAWTHORNE ECOVILLAGE SUMMER GREEN FAIR (2 OF 2)

Join us near the Hawthorne EcoVillage Garden (6th St N & 31st Ave N) on Saturday, July 25th, from noon until 3pm to celebrate Summer, get to know your neighbors and learn about community resources. There will be food, games, arts & crafts and information about housing, recycling, composting, community gardens and more! All ages welcome.

10TH FLOW NORTHSIDE ARTS CRAWL INCLUDES HAWTHORNE

FLOW starts Thursday, July 23rd with a block party on Plymouth Ave near Penn Ave N. Friday, July 24th will be an evening of preview events, gallery receptions and public performances. The main event is Saturday, July 25th, an exciting day of indoor and outdoor activities along West Broadway from the Mississippi River to Penn Ave and on N 2nd St from 16th to 24th Streets. FLOW expects to draw a crowd of 10,000 community members, art enthusiasts, neighbors and families for its 10th anniversary weekend.

Friday, July 31, 2015 – 5:30pm til sunset at Ole Olson Park, 2325 W River Road N. See the Boat Ballet! Listen to music by Wain McFarlane & Dreadlock Cowboy and the Fattenin’ Frogs. Tasty food trucks. Drink local craft beers. Jumpy castle and kids activities. Drop your bike at the bike corral. THREE HAWTHORNE HOUSES TO BE AUCTIONED ON JULY 31

A Hennepin County Auction is scheduled for July 31, 2015 and it includes three houses in the Hawthorne neighborhood. Winning bidders must bring the property up to code and then live in the home for at least three years. Both of the open houses have already been held but interested parties can still learn more about the properties through Hennepin County’s interactive map.

The three Hawthorne properties are:

2909 3rd St N: Min. bid $15,000.
2523 3rd St N: Min. bid $2,700.
2424 Aldrich Ave N: Min. bid $5,000.
